The tanganyika angling challenge (TAC)

Tanganyika Angling Challenge is a 6 day fishing competition held in Nsumbu and Nsumbu National Park in February / March annually .It is known as one of the he most prestigious fishing competition in Zambia. Members limited to 3 per boat and boats are available for hire.
It is focused of a catch and release basis and focuses highly on conservation through Nsumbu Tanganyika Conservation Project, a Frankfurt Zoological Society programme. Any extra funds are put towards conservation of Nsumbu National Park and Lake Tanganyika.
Date: 17 to the 23 March

The Competition Consist of 2 Categories over the 6 day

Ultralight

(2kg line) 1 - 2 Day

Nationals

(6kg line) 3 - 5 Day

Day 6 is an open half day competition

COMMON SPECIES CAUGHT

Nile Perch, Lake Salmon , Nkupi/yellowbelly (, Tigerfish, Bream, Lake Trout ,Vundoo, Frontosa, Mbilli and a variety of other fish.

The competition has a long history, running since the 1980's and we wish to carry this on for years to come..

The Tanganyika Angling Challenge is a great way to show of your fishing skills and prove to be a competitive angler.
